It is my pleasure to give a testimonial for my daughter Bonnie Kelm and her company Heelz Up.
During the many trial and tribulations of our life, Bonnie and I have experienced many, many changes. We have lived in many places including NYC, NJ, VA, and GA. As a witness to the world of ‘woman on the move,’ it only makes sense that Bonnie has found a passion in the area of helping women on the ‘move.'
About 27 years ago I made a decision to change my life. I knew it would be both bold and a struggle but it was time. With 10 boxes, 1 TV, a car with a loan attached, an IRS debt, and thankfully the security of a government job and a part time retail job, I hit the road and started over in a new city. I realize now how daunting that was. It never occurred to me that I would fail or fall on my face. For the first time in my life, I was only responsible for myself. The only support I had was, at that time, Bonnie and myself. She witnessed her mother making a choice that would alter her future. Bonnie had already crossed those milestones; she moved to Virginia from New Jersey, after college, to pursue her career in education. She, as well, had only herself, plus her father and I for support. Never doubting for a moment that this was the path for her. These are only a few of the details of our past lives and how change and challenges helped to give us the strength and fortitude to meet them.
When I think of Heelz Up and how a relocation company could have helped me, it makes me wonder how much easier the transformation would have been. Every part of the country has a different tapestry of culture and customs. As a born investigator of knowledge, Bonnie was destined to become the creator of this fantastic resource for women who have decided to pick up their heels and move on.
I have never seen anyone so determined to help others as I have Bonnie. If you even mention a problem or struggle, she would inevitably follow up with an offer to help or a suggestion of what she sees as a solution. She has been my sounding board and she utilizes her analytical and investigative skills to help with any challenge I have shared with her. I am immensely proud of her determination to assist other women in their relocation and eventual transformation to start a new life, either by choice or circumstances.
As a woman of experience in relocation, starting fresh, (or ending sour), or whatever life has thrown at one, I would feel a total sense of confidence with Bonnie at the helm of my transition. As I have said many times, when Bonnie Kelm has your back, life is good.
